Activities around Las Colinas Dreams
There are many walking routes on the southern Costa Blanca. It is also the ideal climate for it. Because you do not have to worry about having to take shelter from the rain every time you walk.

In the northeast above Elche are several hiking trails including the beauty of "el Pantano de Elche".
An arch-shaped dam, 22 metres high and 75 metres wide, with a wall thickness of 12 metres at the base and 9 metres at the top, built on the river Vinalopó between the mountains of Elche and the hills of Castelar. That is the description of el Pantano de Elche, a 17th century dam. Just not the oldest reservoir in Europe. (Click here for more info).

If you drive along the CV-905 from Torrevieja towards the interior, you will see a salt lake on the left and on the right after a few roundabouts. The salt lake on the left is that of Torrevieja, the one on the right is the salt lake of La Mata.
Today, the salt lake of La Mata is the ideal place for a brisk walk or mountain bike ride. Along the way, there are a number of viewpoints from which you can observe the birds. On the side of La Mata there is also a cosy place with benches where barbecues are regularly organised. A complete walk or drive around the salt lake is not possible. Only part of the northern side, the eastern side and most of the southern side are accessible. More info?
